Notice to potential buyers: Members of the general public may attend Goodwill’s auto auction but are not encouraged to purchase vehicles unless they fully understand the risks associated with purchasing used, non-warranted vehicles. As a general rule, most vehicles donated to Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, Inc. (“Goodwill”) have some sort of mechanical issue that prohibits them from being drivable or which requires immediate repair. Goodwill, including its employees, programs, and subsidiaries, is not responsible for the condition of vehicles that are donated to and purchased through the Goodwill Auto Auction. All vehicles are sold “AS IS” without warranty or guarantee of any kind, and Goodwill does not perform repairs or maintenance on donated vehicles. Vehicles are donated in a variety of conditions and not all vehicles are in driving condition. Goodwill is not responsible for determining the safety or road-worthiness of vehicles sold at its auctions. Buyers are encouraged to carefully inspect a vehicle before purchasing it and to use precaution when attempting to drive or move a purchased vehicle from Goodwill’s lot. Buyers are also encouraged to provide their own equipment to remove the vehicle from the auction lot. A battery charger is often needed.
