2005 Roush Mustang 427R - 30,000 miles
Many Roush and general mustang enthusiasts will note that there was not a 427R Mustang produced before 2008. However, this Mustang is 1 of 3 produced by Roush Performance for an unmade movie named “Run”. In the film, there was supposed to be a 51 minute chase scene featuring the vehicle/s described. Sadly, the movie was never produced. The movie was to feature director/writer/producer John McTiernan famous for such movies as Predator, Die Hard, Die Hard With A Vengeance and The Thomas Crown affair.
The cars were originally part of Roush's vehicle fleet as cars for product development and testing. When approached by the film company to create 3 vehicles for the upcoming movie, Roush then customized this vehicle as well as two others.
This car and a 2006 Mustang GT (Roush altered) were built identical to one another. Featuring a special PPG Argent Chromium paint job. Roush 427R front fascia, chin spoiler, rear spoiler, rocker panels, custom flared fenders and a racing cage (all Roush Performance installed). In addition to those items, they would receive 427R drivetrain/suspension equipment such as Stage 2/427R shocks/struts/sway bars, an M90 supercharger (~440hp/410 ft-lbs tq), 6 piston front brakes as seen on 427R Trak Pak vehicles.
The 3rd vehicle was the slightly different with a P51-A drivetrain, tubbed rear end with Mickey Thompson tires and an extended wheelbase by 8+inches to be the "beauty" car in scenes.
The car for sale and the other twin produced were planned to be used as the cars for any performance driving scenes.
