1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 Coupe. About 72,700 miles on the odometer with approximately 1,000 miles driven since the engine rebuild and upgrade. I enjoy driving it. Limited production Expresso Brown exterior with Parchment colored Cordova top and interior. Includes GM keys, new Firebird custom steering wheel and factory installed THM400 3-speed automatic transmission with turbine torque converter. Invested over $11,500 in 2021 to upgrade and rebuild the engine and exhaust system. The original factory engine block cracked and was replaced with a 1968 GTO 400 CI V8. The engine upgrades and rebuilds include: a new Edlebrock Performer RPM dual plane aluminum intake manifold to match the Edlebrock 4 BBL carburetor with custom spacer, rebuilt cylinder heads and valve train, installation of new high-lift competition cam, upgraded valve springs and lifters, removed and replaced pistons, rings, bearings, timing chain, and re-sealed engine. The new and upgraded exhaust system includes installation of steel competition Hooker Headers, 40 Series Delta Flow stainless steel 3" offset in/out dual mufflers, and 3" dual exhaust system with X-Pipe design.
The limited production Expresso Brown exterior is an outstanding combination with the Parchment colored Cordova top and Parchment colored interior. The tires are recently installed BF Goodrich Radial T/A.
Seller has copies of the Pontiac Historical Society (“PHS”) documents showing the original Master car order form (Build Sheet) and the suggested retail pricing sheet from the Pontiac Motor Division in Pontiac, Michigan.
