There are only 666 hours on the engine of this beautiful plane! This 1951 Chipmunk is a unique and remarkable piece of history. It was a trainer in England from 1951 to 1997, training pilots at universities in the equivalent of Air Force ROTC. It received excellent care and maintenance, with monthly entries in its military logs, and has retained its original colors. It was brought into Canada in 1997 by a retiring airline pilot, who kept it in a heated hangar at an Aviation Museum at Sidney airport, just north of Victoria, B. C. The seller purchased the airplane in 2010, and has also kept it hangared.
It has been maintained continuously at Victoria Air Maintenance. (250-656-7600). A fresh annual in early June 2016 goes with the airplane. It is fully aerobatic, but is placarded against spins. A delight to fly, very responsive, with great visibility, and wheel lands like a feather.
