The 1993 model Allante received the powerful and smooth 4.6L (280.7 cu in) GM Northstar L37 DOHC V8 engine coupled with a 4T80-E 4 speed automatic transmission. The 1993 Allante was chosen as the 1992 pace car for the 76^th Indy 500 driven by Bobby Unser.

Also introduced with the Allante in 93 was road sensing suspension, and active damper management system and revised disc brakes. The Allante included a revised variable-assist power steering rack and deeper front spoiler.
