When it comes to having fun in the twisties, the RS is a class apart with thoroughly modern handling. The ‘nose down’ attitude, with lower handlebars placed further forwards and higher, rear-set footpegs, pushes weight over the front and sets you up to fully exploit the sporty geometry.

Thrilling sports performance comes courtesy of the legendary Bonneville twin. Boasting the latest technology, yet full of classic character, this 1,200 cc engine packs 103.5 HP (105 PS) peak power at 7,750 rpm, with instant response thanks to its rich torque delivery peaking at 82.6 LB-FT (112 Nm) at 4,250 rpm. And with a deep and distinctive Bonneville soundtrack from the twin ‘megaphone’ silencers, it comes along with an unmistakable sound.

Lightning fast, seamless up-and-down gear changes can be executed without pulling the clutch lever – the Speed Twin 1200 RS is the first Bonneville Twin to be fitted with Triumph Shift Assist.
