The "Big 3" for this generation E46 M3 were completed by Rogue Engineering (a BMW specialty shop in NJ) in late 2023. The engine rod bearings, subframe reinforcement, and an updated/rebuilt VANOS system are all documented with receipts from Rogue Engineering. Many other parts, such as suspension bushings and differential bushings, were replaced during the subframe reinforcement process. A valve adjustment service was performed during the VANOS rebuild, along with the installation of a new valve cover gasket and a new CPV (constant pressure valve). Upgraded ARP bolts were installed at this time, and while the rod bearings were being replaced, a new set of OEM BMW engine mounts was fitted to the vehicle.
The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (354) and is equipped with fog lights, a glass sunroof, a trunk lid spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. The 19″ M double-spoke Style 67 wheels are mounted over wheel spacers and fitted with Pirelli tires. The car was factory-equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and Eibach lowering springs were installed in 2023, along with a new set of front struts and rear shock absorbers. New bump stops were installed, along with Rogue Engineering upper rear shock mounts to address this common weak point of the E46 chassis. Braking is provided by OEM four-wheel ventilated discs.
The power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather, and aluminum trim adorns the dash and door panels. Interior amenities include cruise control, a modern aftermarket head unit with navigation (the stock head unit is included), and automatic climate control. The interior headliner was reupholstered by the previous owner in M-Rain pattern fabric, along with an M-Rain pattern center armrest and door panel armrests in the front and rear. The common peeling issues on the A/B/C pillars have been addressed by reupholstering them in Alcantara fabric. The original faded rear deck has also been reupholstered in new Alcantara fabric.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel features M-color stitching and frames a 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline, along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates slightly over 60k miles.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was factory-rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. An OEM short-throw shift kit was installed by the vehicle's second owner, and the OEM original parts will be provided with the sale. A Rogue Engineering cat-back exhaust system was also installed by the second owner, and the original mid-pipe along with the OEM BMW muffler are included in the sale.
Lastly, a freshly rebuilt OEM-spec differential was purchased from DIFFSONLINE and fitted to the vehicle in November of 2024.
