1967 Capital Yachts Gulf 32 Sailboat
This 1967 Capital Yachts Gulf 32 is one of only 16 fiberglass hulls built in Portland, Oregon, making it a rare and classic find. Currently located at our farm near Corvallis, Oregon, the boat has undergone considerable upgrades and restoration work throughout. It’s powered by a new Beta Marine 35HP diesel engine with a water-cooled transmission, flatbelt-driven 120 amp alternator, and dual engine panels (interior and exterior). The electrical system has been fully modernized with updated breaker panels, and the vessel is equipped with a full hydraulic autopilot, dual helms, and new through-hull bronze valves and fittings. Additional upgrades include a new drive shaft, aluminum mast, boom, and spinnaker pole, and a completely stripped hull that was re-sealed with three epoxy barrier coats followed by antifouling. The cabin sole has been replaced, and the boat includes a new VHF radio. Sail inventory is impressive, featuring a main, genoa, storm sail, spinnaker, and staysail, along with new upper shrouds and chain plates. The head has been entirely redone, including a new 13-gallon plastic freshwater tank. Also included is a 9-foot Gig Harbor dinghy. Remaining tasks include painting the deck and inside cockpit lockers, adding an attachment point to the upper mast for the staysail, and optionally installing a propane storage box. This Gulf 32 offers a solid foundation with major systems upgraded—perfect for a sailor ready to finish her off and set sail.
