Owners Comments

This was my retirement project, and the car was restored with the body removed from the frame and new metal welded in wherever needed. I have photographs documenting the restoration from start to finish. The engine and Powerglide transmission were rebuilt, and the electrical system was upgraded to 12 volts. I also installed a replica-style 12-volt Bluetooth radio, a new trunk liner, and an extension for the brake cylinder reservoir to make checking and filling it easier.

The original gauges showed 36,000 miles, but the original 235 engine was no longer in the car. The rebuilt 235 is believed to have come from a 1954 truck. When the Dakota Digital gauges were installed, they were set to track mileage from the engine rebuild. The odometer currently shows approximately 700 miles since the rebuild.

This trophy-winning car was featured at the 2024 Rhinelander car show and appears in the show's logo. The two painted rear fender skirts and matching gaskets are included for anyone who prefers the original appearance.
