“This 1951 Ford Meteor Custom Convertible is a rare and fascinating piece of Canadian automotive history. Originally sold new by Black Motors in Vancouver, British Columbia, the car was first owned by a librarian who carefully maintained it for many years. It was later acquired by well-known collector Tex Davis during Hot August Nights and remained in his collection until it was passed on through his family. Today, this Meteor retains its original matching-numbers drivetrain and shows just over 94,000 miles, making it a highly authentic and increasingly hard-to-find classic.

The car was found in remarkably preserved condition, retaining its original paint and interior, and has since undergone extensive recommissioning to ensure reliable enjoyment on the road. Recent work includes new motor mounts, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, water pumps, hoses, belts, plugs, points, a rebuilt carburetor, new wide whitewall tires, heater core, rebuilt blower motor, muffler, and a new electric fuel pump for priming. The power convertible top has also been refreshed with new power rams and motor.

Additional features include a restored clock, original radio upgraded with Bluetooth functionality, working oil pressure gauge, functional vacuum wipers, and fully operational headlights, turn signals, and brake lights.
