Owner’s Description
This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro
Z28 has undergone an extensive frame-off restoration and came from the Volo
Museum in Illinois. Finished in stunning Cinnamon Metallic paint, this Camaro
features exceptional fit and finish, new chrome and trim, split front bumpers,
sport mirrors, a dovetail rear spoiler, upgraded LED headlights, and new glass,
weatherstripping, and seals. It sits on an eye-catching set of 19x8 Boze wheels
in front and 20x10 wheels in the rear.
Under the hood is a
date-coded 396ci V8 that has been completely rebuilt and has only 200 miles
since the rebuild. It features a roller cam and lifters, GM aluminum intake,
dual-feed Holley carburetor, billet distributor, and MSD coil. An aluminum
radiator with dual electric fans helps keep the engine cool, while power
steering, upgraded power brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder, and Classic
Auto Air air conditioning add comfort and drivability. Power is delivered
through a rebuilt Turbo 400 automatic transmission, also with only 200 miles
since its rebuild, to a Moser 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 posi gears.
The interior has been
extensively renewed with reupholstered seats, new carpet and Z28 embroidered
floor mats, new door panels, handles, window cranks, dash pad, instrument panel
trim, center console, headliner, and visors. It features factory-style gauges
with a 6,500-rpm redline tachometer, a retro-style stereo with kick-panel
speakers, upgraded electric climate controls, and an additional oil pressure
gauge.
The restoration extends
throughout the trunk and undercarriage, with new fuel and brake systems,
Wilwood four-wheel drilled and slotted disc brakes, tubular front control arms,
an upgraded sway bar, adjustable Viking coilover shocks, Hotchkis rear leaf springs,
and a custom stainless steel exhaust with an X-pipe and MagnaFlow mufflers. The
driveshaft has been rebuilt, and the rear differential features an aluminum
girdle cover. With extensive new components throughout, striking custom wheels,
and only 200 miles on the rebuilt engine and transmission, this beautifully
restored Camaro is an impressive classic muscle car.
