Owner’s Notes
“This fully matching-numbers 1965 Corvette L84 Fuel-Injected is a rare and highly desirable example, restored to NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold standards. Finished in stunning Nassau Blue with a Blue & White interior, this Corvette represents the pinnacle of mid-year C2 Corvettes—the first year with disc brakes and the last year of fuel-injected 327ci engines.
The car is highly optioned, featuring power windows, Quick Take-Off wheels, tinted glass, Delco AM/FM radio, teakwood steering wheel, off-road exhaust, 3.70 Posi-Traction rear axle, F40 sport suspension, 4-speed manual Muncie M20 transmission, and the 375 horsepower L84 fuel-injected 327ci engine. As Zora Arkus-Duntov himself noted, 1965 was the best year and model of the mid-year Corvette.
This Corvette underwent a cost-no-object, frame-off restoration completed to NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold standards in 2024, including:
-Body stripped and repainted in original Nassau Blue with OEM-correct date codes for alternator, starter, horn relay, water pump, radiator expansion tank, and heat shields.
-Correct bolt headmarks throughout.
-Fully rebuilt suspension and differential.
-Correct hoses, clamps, battery, and Muncie M20 transmission.
-Original fuel injection unit and distributor, restored by Ken Hansen in Tennessee, reunited with the car.
This Corvette has been shown at top-level events, most recently Cobble Beach Concours 2025 in Canada. With its correct, highly detailed restoration, matching-numbers drivetrain, and rare factory options, this 1965 L84 Fuel-Injected Corvette is a true collector’s gem and represents one of the finest examples available worldwide.”
