The Metropolitan was a car that appealed to an eclectic mix of Americans because it was economical, yet a joy to drive. Road test magazine said in 1954 that “on road ability and responsive handling, the Met shines” It also offers easy maintenance and downright stinginess when it comes to gasoline consumption.
