“This 1965 Ford Mustang is a true one-of-a-kind restomod, built as a lifelong dream and finished to the highest level. No expense was spared in this full unibody, frame-off restoration completed by The Restomod Shop in Stockton, CA from 2009–2014. I am the 3rd owner. The car was originally assembled in California (San Jose plant) and has never been in an accident. It was purchased in 2007 and completely transformed into what can only be described as functional automotive art. Power comes from a Roush 342RE throttle body fuel-injected engine with only 262 miles, delivering approximately 475 HP and 420 ft-lbs of torque. The original 289 engine (14,548 miles) has been removed and is not currently installed. The engine is paired with a TCI StreetFighter AOD transmission and B&M slap shifter, making it both powerful and highly drivable. This Mustang has received multiple prestigious awards, including: Best In Class – Grand National Hot Rod & Roadster Show (Pomona, CA, 2014); Best Paint & Show Excellence Awards – (Stockton, CA, 2014); and Best of Show – San Juan Capistrano Rotary Car Show (2014). It has also been nationally recognized, including features in Mustang Monthly magazine and the Orange County Register.
