“This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 is an original big block SS Camaro featuring the desirable L34 396/350 horsepower engine paired with an M20 4-speed transmission. An extremely early-production Norwood-built car with VIN sequence 9N527645, this Camaro was produced in September 1968 during the very first run of 1969 models and retains rare early-production details including two-piece brake rotors and two-piece kick panels. The vehicle was originally factory-finished in the striking Code 76 Daytona Yellow—a color used on only 6.7% of 1969 Camaros—and has been refinished in the same color. This car has been meticulously restored using a 20-year collection of hard-to-find NOS parts that are nearly impossible to source today. Built completely stock down to the smog pump and chambered exhaust system, the car retains its original 12-bolt rear end with 3.55 gears, blacked-out body sills and tail panel, and D90 hockey stick sport striping, exactly as a big block SS should. The date-coded 1968 block, heads, and intake remain in place, while the engine has been professionally upgraded internally with I-beam rods, forged pistons, roller rockers, precision balancing, and decked block machining for durability and performance.
