“For sale is my 1927 Ford Model T Custom Hot Rod, lovingly built over the years and named The Lodi Coupe. I bought the rusty body in Lodi, CA, back in 2005, and while it started as a rough project with no frame, I’ve spent years bringing it to life. The VIN is only on the frame, so there is no title, only a bill of sale. It will need to be titled as a kit car, and I never got around to doing that. I’ve never intended to sell it—this project has been a labor of love, but due to health reasons, I’m unable to finish it. The car runs and drives just fine; I’ve taken it around the block a few times, but never on a full shake-down cruise. It starts right up every time, and the 10-gallon gas tank is mounted in the trunk. There are no leaks, and it seems to track well, though there are a few wiring issues that still need attention. As much as I’d love to keep working on it, I’m turning 78 and can’t get under the dash anymore to finish the wiring. This isn’t my first build, so I know what I’m doing, but it’s not perfect. The tires are not new, but they’re fine for moving it around. I would still be working on it if I could.
