“For sale is a rare 1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 ‘7-Up Edition’ Convertible that’s been set up for performance and handling. It’s powered by a V8 331 Stroker Boss Block engine with about 34,420 miles on it—an investment of roughly $10,000 just in the motor—and is configured for SCCA-style driving. The car includes an interior roll bar and delivers the feel and response of a true race car. The chassis has approximately 155,000 miles. It runs and drives well overall, but the driveline needs to be balanced, as there’s a vibration noticeable around 100 mph. This Mustang was involved in an accident but was professionally repaired at a body shop; both the police report and shop records are available for review upon request. The car will need a paint job, and the convertible top is currently not functioning. Mechanically, it has a few issues: the A/C compressor needs to be replaced, and the heater core has been bypassed. Despite these needs, it starts, runs, and drives, and comes with good tires, four extra rims, and four boxes of spare parts. Title in hand. It’s important to note that this is not a beginner’s car. This Mustang has been built for performance and demands an experienced, mature driver who understands how to handle a powerful rear-wheel-drive vehicle.
