This bus has been meticulously maintained by a family of VW enthusiasts for over the past 25 years. It has been great fun and quite the head-turner over the years, however, we are growing older and are unable to maintain this amazing vehicle. This vehicle is being sold along with a second engine. Clean 1970 title vehicle (VIN 2202239660) with unknown miles.
Installed 1971 Front Axle assembly with disc brakes and vacuum assist.
Rebuilt 1776cc engine with dual-port intake manifolds and 2-barrel Holley-Weber progressive carb.
Also includes stock sheet metal with “doghouse” oil cooler and 12v alternator. Approx. 10k miles; runs great!
Good condition transaxle and CV-axles.
Recently rebuilt and renewed brake system – 2022.
Red/Grey paint done in 2016 with very little rust.
Installed new front windshield and seal. Also new seals on rear and side windows.
Installed louvered screened windows with new seals in cabin.
Installed (2) very nice fabric bucket seats with headrests in front.
1971 deluxe chrome kit installed.
Refinished interior wooden panels and wooden headliner.
New black rubber mats and kick panels throughout interior, and newly upholstered rear bench seat.
Recently updated Stereo system with Bluetooth ready connect.
Top weekender metal rack ready as-is or for customization by the new owner.
Tires have good tread – 70%.

This engine was completely re-built as a stock 1600cc dual port 1971 VW Bus engine. Engine has 300 miles on
it (break-in). Runs great!
Block inspected and line board (S/N AD084445X).
Re-ground crankshaft with new main bearings.
Re-conditioned rods with new bearings.
New camshaft and bearings.
Re-conditioned cam followers.
New 85.5mm pistons and cylinders.
New push rods and tubes.
New dual port heads.
Re-conditioned rocker arms.
Re-surfaced flywheel.
New heavy duty oil pump.
Re-built 34PICT-3 carburetor.
New distributor (model no. 0231170034 V).
New fuel pump.
Excellent condition heater boxes.
New Header exhaust system.
New 12v alternator.
Complete air-cooling system sheet metal intact.
Includes the subframe cross-brace.
