2006 Sterling A-9513 Excavation Dump Truck for Sale in Westcliffe, CO 81252

This 2006 Sterling A-9513 Excavation Dump Truck is powered by a 400 HP 12.7L Detroit diesel engine paired with an Eaton Fuller 10-speed manual transmission. Almost all highway miles.

Was used as a single axle semi pulling light van trailers on highway until 2018 before becoming a dump truck. Will haul 19,500 pounds legally on bed and pull up to 50,000 legally with the right trailer. We used it a few times to pull a 36,000-pound excavator, with a 20-ton pintle trailer, and it worked great! We mostly used for pulling skid steer, mini excavator, and attachments, and for our smaller gravel, dirt hauling jobs. Just passed a DOT inspection with only a light bulb and air valve needing work. Good tires all around with almost brand-new ones on back. Shifts smooth and tight. Strong clutch. Strong engine, very tight with literally no smoke except tiny bit of black until turbo spool. Cold AC. Bed is solid. Just a tight, solid, strong truck that is ready to go to work. Has been rock solid and is one of the cheapest trucks to work on. Will easily out turn a four-door long bed pickup. Almost all dump trucks this size are given underpowered small cam engines and small transmissions with only 6-7 gears. This stock setup has plenty of power for heavy loads, even here in the Rocky Mountains, and truckers run this 12.7 Detroit at 600hp. pulling 80k all the time, so this thing could be made a little bit crazy if someone wanted. My help is moving out, so I am selling my excavation business and slowing down.
