As a tribute to the best of those days when Smokey and the Bandit was the 4th highest grossing film, the legend and the car came together in 2016. Burt Reynolds played an integral role in the design and development in one of the most ambitious projects undertaken to make an updated version of the car he loved and was made famous in his 1977 movie. Trans Am Depot out of Tallahassee, Florida licensed the rights from GM to produce a new version of one of the most famous American made muscle cars of all times. From the hand-crafted interior, body moldings, custom gauges and appointments to a re-engineered motor producing 840 horse power the special edition bandit Trans Am has taken center stage in automotive history.

The Trans Am SE Bandit Edition production cars all signed by Burt Reynolds were pre-sold within months of the offering. Now the prototype car to the ‘77 car limited production was finally released 2 years later to the public at the end of 2018. This was the car that all of the possible options were loaded into for showing and demonstrating. It was also used in the Smokey and the Bandit Run in 2017 as well as written about and featured in some of the most popular magazines like Top Gear. The mileage has been limited to car shows, events and promotions.
