This 1950 Mercury Eight 2-Door Custom Coupe is a frame-off, rotisserie-restored custom built to a very high standard and finished in concours condition. The body and frame were completely media blasted, with the frame removed, sandblasted, and refinished. The body features a 4-inch chopped top, shaved styling, custom paint, extensive new chrome, and 1948 Lincoln door buttons. All glass and window felts are new except for the rear glass. 1957 Cadillac hubcaps complete the distinctive exterior. Power comes from a Chevrolet V8 paired with a completely rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive. The Ford 9-inch rear end has been rebuilt, with a new driveshaft and new shocks. The chassis features a Fat Man front frame stub with Mustang II front suspension, power steering, power front disc brakes, air bags on all four corners, and a Rick Erickson two-link rear suspension.

Inside, the Mercury features a custom two-tone interior, 1949 Mercury dashboard with Stewart Warner gauges, Lokar shifter, and a rare Mercury accessory steering wheel valued at over $4,000. The car also has all-new 12-volt wiring and electrical components, along with a custom hand-fabricated, TIG-welded stainless-steel exhaust system.
