“For sale is my 1956 Plymouth Belvedere, affectionately nicknamed “Christine’s older sister.” This beautiful classic has been kept in heated storage and is in impressive condition for its age. I’m the second owner, and the car remains highly original throughout, showing the care it’s received over the years. This top-of-the-line Belvedere still wears its original chrome, carpet, floor mats, dash, taillights, and trunk pan with the original cardboard mat. It rides on Coker whitewall tires that perfectly complement its vintage style. The car has been repainted, and the body is solid with no rust. Mechanically, it just received a fresh tune-up, a new battery, new generator, and new brakes all around (pads, cylinder, springs all rebuilt/new). Overall it runs and drives well. A few minor items need some TLC — the parking brake could use adjustment, the headliner has water stains and a small hole (a replacement headliner is included), and the driver’s door key is missing, so that door currently doesn’t open. Overall, this Belvedere is a beautiful survivor that’s been well preserved and cared for — a great example of Plymouth’s elegant mid-’50s design. Perfect for a weekend cruiser or vintage car show.”
