“This 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback (7R02S) is a striking and powerful machine that blends classic Shelby-inspired styling with serious modern performance upgrades. Originally a factory S-code car equipped with a 390 V8, 4-speed transmission, and 9-inch rear, it now packs a stout 428 FE block from 1966, bored .040 over and built with a Scat crankshaft, Ford Racing connecting rods, and Keith Black hypereutectic pistons delivering a 10.5:1 compression ratio. A Howards camshaft, Edelbrock aluminum heads with roller rockers, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake ensure strong power throughout the rev range. FPA Tri-Y headers feed into a Borla exhaust system with an X-pipe crossover, side outlets, and electric cutouts for an aggressive yet versatile sound. Fuel and spark are handled by MSD Electronic Fuel Injection and MSD electronic ignition, paired with a billet distributor. The car has been completely rewired with a Painless harness for reliability. Cooling is managed by a Griffin aluminum radiator and dual Spal electric fans. A Unisteer rack and pinion power steering setup and Master Power 4-wheel disc brakes provide confident handling and stopping power. The drivetrain is rounded out with an aluminum driveshaft and billet pinion yoke. Visually, this Fastback pays tribute to Shelby styling with functional side scoops, the early 1967 Shelby grille with inboard headlights, and a working cowl induction hood. It’s finished in Clearwater Aqua, a rare, one-year-only factory color that sets it apart from the crowd.
