This 1968 Chevrolet Nomad
Custom Wagon is a classic with serious performance under the hood. It features
a new 496ci engine, not a rebuilt motor, dyno-tested at 575 horsepower at the
flywheel and 425 horsepower at the rear wheels. The engine has only 150 miles
on it. Power is delivered through a TH400 reverse-manual racing transmission
with a 3,800-rpm stall converter. The drivetrain is backed by a GM 12-bolt Posi
rear end with 3.45 gears. Built with quality components by Don's Speed Shop in
Newington, this Nomad is an impressive high-horsepower build with plenty of
power to spare. It has too much power for the current owner, making this a
