“Chevrolet pickup production was divided into two series for 1955, First and Second Series. First Series trucks were built through Mar/Apr 1955 with the 1954 body style, such as this restored, half-ton 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Series Pickup they looked the same as the previous 1947-'54 trucks.  The Second Series were totally new trucks. This truck is titled in Colorado (I have the title in hand) with a new Colorado VIN plate, installed by Colorado Hwy Patrol, because the VIN in 1955 was stamped on the motor block which we removed.  Originally this truck was titled in Arizona where it was mostly built.
