“Available now is a stunning 1969 Top Fuel Dragster with deep roots in drag racing history, formerly campaigned by Tommy “The Watchdog” Allen—a top fuel standout of the mid-to-late 1960s. This car is not just a showpiece; it's a fully functional, professionally built cackle car that needs absolutely nothing. Originally built by Race Car Engineering with a 196-inch wheelbase, the dragster was first run by Allen and Larry Huff and powered by a 392 Chrysler Hemi. Today, it remains true to its heritage with a fresh 392 Hemi under the body, equipped with a Hampton blower, Enderle injector, killer rocker arms, and a host of top-tier components. The frame and body are mostly new, with select tubing and parts from the original car incorporated into the build. The presentation is second to none—everything is chromed, polished, or anodized to show-level standards, with beautiful paintwork by Phil Whetstone. It also features a Lenco reverser with a safety-neutral and an 8 3/4 Mopar rear end. This car runs as good as it looks and will proudly stand beside any cackle car in the country. Offered at $80,000, it’s a fair price for a professionally restored and historically significant dragster. Please note, personalization will be removed before delivery, and it does not come with a title or VIN as it is a custom dragster; however, a bill of sale will be provided upon purchase. Partial trades will be considered—up to $25,000 in value—for a late model pickup or a pre-1970 El Camino.
