Owner’s Notes

“1981 Peterbilt 352 Sleeper, a classic truck with a wealth of recent upgrades and maintenance. While there is cosmetic damage on the right side of the cab, it does not affect drivability, and the truck passes DOT inspection. Recently, we installed a new speedometer and tachometer, during which we discovered a fuel leak at the fuel pump. We took it to Altorfers CAT in Cedar Rapids, where they thoroughly serviced the fuel pump and repaired two broken bolts on the exhaust manifold. At this time, they informed us the engine was a remanufactured motor. They also replaced a faulty turbo, a leaking water pump, and an oil cooler, along with fixing a leaking front main seal. The rod and main bearings were inspected and deemed in good condition, and we also replaced the harmonic balancer, and installed new rear motor mounts, a new air compressor, and a new air dryer. To enhance performance, we installed new 3:55 rear ends, a power divider, new brake drums and shoes, and all-new airbags. The truck has new batteries, spotlight, stereo, speakers, defroster fans, heater blower fans, dome lights, and windshield rubber gaskets.It also has two fuel heaters and an electric plug-in block heater, the engine has a two stage Jacobs engine brake and a Hortons clutch fan as well. It also features factory power steering and new front cab bushings. We updated both seats to newer air ride models, installed new door handles with locks and window regulators, and equipped the truck with all new tires. This pre-DEF/ELD truck is ready to work and has only 8,852 miles on the new speedometer, indicating it has plenty of life left. All work done on the truck is documented; receipts are available for all professional work. This Peterbilt is a solid investment for anyone looking for a dependable classic truck!”
