Owner’s Notes

“This 2015 Shasta Airflyte 16 Travel Trailer is a rare and beautifully preserved 1961 Reissue/Anniversary Edition, and one of only 1,941 ever produced. Ours is unit #1,879 and has had just one owner since new, with a clean title in hand. Purchased in July 2015, it has been gently used—never taken on a camping trip—and has only approximately 2,530 total miles, averaging just 220 miles per year strictly for transport to and from indoor winter storage. From April through October each year, it’s been parked in the same location, then stored indoors during the winter months with professional winterization and de-winterization performed annually by the dealer in Davenport, Iowa. All service and maintenance has been handled through the dealership, and records are available upon request. The interior is in exceptional condition and shows very little wear. The toilet has never been used for solid waste—only liquid (no. 1), and never any toilet paper—and the dinette cushions have never been used; instead, a full-size foam mattress was used for sleeping, while the original cushions were stored indoors at home. The trailer is equipped with a functional LP gas furnace with thermostat, and the kitchen sink has been upgraded with a new metal flexible faucet featuring durable metal handles and two interchangeable faucet heads. There are 13 windows in total, nine of which open and include screens for ventilation. It's also cable TV ready, with both interior and exterior connections. Two rope-and-pole awnings are included: the original black-and-white striped awning and a new red-and-white striped awning (2024), both with poles and heavy-duty steel screw-in stakes. A custom awning frame was added to prevent interference with the entry door when opening or closing. Exterior seams and window seals were all professionally resealed in 2024, and the tires were replaced just two years ago. Drop-down rear stabilizers are installed on both the curbside (door side) and street side (utility side) for stability when parked. This trailer is ideal for collectors or vintage RV enthusiasts looking for a practically untouched and well-preserved example of Shasta’s iconic reissue. It’s a true time capsule, blending vintage charm with modern reliability, and it’s ready for its next careful owner.”
