“This 1971 Triumph GT6
Mark III with factory overdrive has been fully restored and meticulously
maintained. Acquired in 2007 as a restoration project, it was taken down to bare metal with glass removed and prepped for repaint
in its original Burgundy color. The engine was completely rebuilt, including a block bore for oversized
pistons, new oil pump, full valve job with new springs, and standard crank and bearings. The transmission and
overdrive were professionally rebuilt by Jack at Merriman Modifications, ensuring smooth,
reliable performance. Additional upgrades include a stainless steel exhaust, Panasport
wheels with Kumho tires, recored radiator and fuel tank, new headliner, carpet,
and glass seals, H4 headlights, new windshield, and new water and fuel pumps.
It also features a new starter, alternator, and all-new hydraulic clutch and
brake components. Owned by a retired mechanic with 42 years of experience,
this GT6 has been carefully built and maintained with expert attention to
detail. Unfortunately, life circumstances have forced the sale. This is a rare
opportunity to own a beautifully restored, mechanically sorted, and highly
desirable example of the classic Triumph GT6 Mark III.”
