Under the hood, the original six-cylinder has been upgraded to a solid 289 V8 with an Edelbrock intake, new Edelbrock carburetor, headers, new dual exhaust, and a new radiator with electric fan. The suspension has been fully updated to accommodate the V8 power. Driving has been made easier with the addition of a Borgeson power steering kit, and braking improved with front disc brakes (rear drums).
