1969 Buick Gran Sport 400 Convertible, this beauty has Bucket Seats, Console Shift, Automatic Transmission (2004R), Power Windows, Power Drum Brakes, and Eaton Posi traction (373). This is a 1 of 1800 1969 GS400 convertibles made. It was delivered to a dealership in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. The original color was "Silver Mist" but has since been changer to it is current "Cherry Red". The bad news is the original 400 motor and turbo400 transmission are sadly long gone. The good news is they were replaced with a Buick 455 built to "Stage 1" spec and a Bowtie 2004R transmission. This car has been gone through from one end to the other. The complete drive train has been redone. Brakes, vacuum booster, and brake lines replaced. New gas tank and sending unit installed. Suspension has new springs front and rear, all bushings replaced, tie rod ends and idler arms, shocks replaced. New front and rear sway bars. The only thing not touched by me was the body and paint. Motor: 455 (1970) Heads rebuilt to Stage I specs: 2.130" Intake 1.755 Exhaust Stage 1 Dual Spring Valve Springs New Hydraulic Lifters New Stem Seals, Keepers, and Retainers New T/A Forged Pistons, New T/A front cover, T/A Reconditioned rods, New T/A main and Cam Bearings, T/A 212 camshaft, New high torque mini starter, New T/A Oil Pump kit installed, New Water Pump, New double row timing chain and gears, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold, T/A shorty headers, Rebuilt carburetor (Quadrajet). Engine HP estimated at 400+hp / 500+ Torque. Interior: Entire interior (seats, door panels, carpets, dash pad) replaced in 2003 with Legendary Auto Interiors factory look materials. Power Windows, AM radio, AM\FM radio hidden in factory eight track player. Body: No rust, some cracks in paint though. Convertible top replaced in 2005 with glass rear window (not plastic). New GS400 emblems on hood, grill, and rear quarter panels. New mirrors left and right. Trunk: No rust. Jack, spare tire, and cover. Misc.: Owner’s manual Buick Chassis Service Manual Fischer Body Service Manual Various Reproduction parts Catalogues Receipts for most new items listed above and work performed. Will deliver to the Canada/USA boarder in Sweetgrass, Montana.
