“This 1969 Boss 429 is an exceptional example of one of Ford’s most iconic muscle cars. Previously a show car and magazine feature, it remains in absolute show-quality condition throughout. The car is powered by a date-code-correct, unstamped 429 big-block service block, built with authentic Ford Boss performance components. It has been dyno-tested at an impressive 600 horsepower. Despite the power, it runs on pump gas with 10.5:1 compression and has excellent street manners. Included in the sale is the car’s “sister” engine from another Boss 9—complete with the original smog components that were on the car during its show career. This additional show motor is fully complete and currently disassembled for inspection, allowing full review of its NASCAR internal components. During my ownership, the car has been driven fewer than 200 miles, only to and from local shows. Documentation includes the build sheet, Mustang Club of America judging certificates, and the Marti Report. A truly special Boss 429 that looks, runs, and drives exactly as a top-tier showpiece should.”
